Cassidy turns to Shakespeare for inspiration!

Blyth Spartans manager Tommy Cassidy is paraphrasing Shakespeare's Richard the Third ahead of today's Bank Holiday Monday clash at Whitby Town.
After Saturday’s 2-1 Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division defeat to Hednesford at Croft Park the manager joked about his ongoing search for a midfielder and didn't mind sounding like a desperate Richard the Third!
Cassidy said: "A midfield, a midfield . . .my Kingdom for a midfielder and a centre-mid specifically! I saw things on the pitch I wasn’t happy with. The middle of the park is way, way short. We don’t have enough energy or quality passing – it’s the same old story. Once Lee Mason had to go off with a reoccurrence of a hamstring problem, we went downhill."
But Cassidy was still in a positive frame of mind ahead of today's clash. He added: "We were not too bad in the first half but poor in the second. Phil Airey’s goal after three minutes was a good one and we could have gone on to get one or two more in the first half and things were looking up as our confidence grew.
"The two goals we conceded were silly ones brought about by players not communicating. However, if we can get that sorted we will be a threat. Believe me!"
