Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Chorley have extended the loan deal for Southport striker Darren Stephenson for a second month.
Conference Premier Southport have told Magpies manager Garry Flitcroft that their former Bradford City striker can stay at Victory Park until the end of October.
Stephenson has made a real impact at Chorley and with competition for places hotting up, Southport manager Liam Watson agreed on Thursday that it was better for the frontman to keep getting first team starts with the Magpies rather than return to the Merseyrail Community Stadium.
