The Evo-Stik Manager of the Month awards for January have gone to Greg Clowes (Stafford Rangers), Dave Challinor (AFC Fylde) and Peter Ward (Kidsgrove Athletic).
The battle for the award in the Premier Division was a very close call, with FC United of Manchester and Chorley both finishing with identical records of three wins, one draw and one loss. FC United's Doodson Sport Cup win over Chorley was taken into consideration, but Rangers' away win at Gigg Lane and point at Victory Park, as well as their significant improvement after a poor start to the season secured the award for Clowes.
The decision was far easier in First Division North, with Dave Challinor's AFC Fylde side's only dropped points coming on the last day of the month with a draw against Warrington Town. Fifteen goals and fifteen points from his side's other five games have seen the Coasters consolidate thier position at the top of First Division North, and secure the former Colwyn Bay manager a second successive Manager of the Month award.
Peter Ward of Kidsgrove Athletic has picked up the award in First Division South for his side's continued improvement in January. The Grove went unbeaten in the month, with three wins and two draws seeing them move away from the developing releagtion battle, sitting in 13th place after a run of just one loss in the last nine league games.
