Grantham Town are out of the Lincolnshire Senior Shield after losing 3-0 at Gainsborough Trinity today.
Conference North Trinity edged ahead of the Gingerbreads before half-time in the semi-final at Northolme with a goal from new signing Terry Hawkridge on 11 minutes.
The former Carlton Town midfielder's talents on the wing won him a nomination for Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Player of the Year in April and his new side built on his strike soon after the break, Paul Connor grabbing their second on 53 minutes.
Veteran striker Darryn Stamp ended any hopes of county cup glory for the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division outfit on 84 minutes with their third goal in front of a crowd of 231.
