Ashton United sponsor and patron Terry Hollis is back on board for another campaign.

The Evo-Stik NPL Premier Robins are celebrating after the long-standing club supporter threw the weight of his company, Stalybridge-based Rol-lite Blinds, behind the club. Ashton United's new blue away kit will now sport the Rol-lite Blinds logo on the shirts for the 2012-13 campaign.

Club Chairman Dave Aspinall, pictured left presenting Terry Hollis with a framed away shirt, said: "Terry and Rol-lite Blinds have supported Ashton United for several seasons now. From tickets to our Sportsman’s Dinners, advertising on the ground, to helping to organise the golf day, nothing is too much trouble for Terry.

"The guy deserves recognition for what he does on behalf of Ashton United yet shuns the limelight preferring to simply do his best for the club. We are extremely lucky to have such a patron."

Meanwhile, Ashton Manager Danny Johnson is looking for media support from fans after launching an appeal for volunteers to film matches at Surrey Street.

The Ashton manager wants to use footage to develop coaching techniques and get the best out of his side by being able to highlight their good and bad performances.

"We could really do with some support from someone with the equipment and skills available to them to film our games," he said. "Being able to go back over matches and highlight performances, both good and bad, is an invaluable tool to coaches.

"Several clubs in our league have utilised the expertise of local college students which gives invaluable practical benefits to those taking part. I’m hoping that there might be individuals locally who have a similar interest."

Budding camera men or women should contact the club by telephone on 0161 339 4158 or via email at: webmaster@ashtonutd.com
