Northwich Victoria have appointed Paul Simpson as their new manager.
The Premier Division side made the announcement this afternoon, with Alan Wright brought in as assistant manager.
Simpson - most recently at Stockport County - has had spells in charge of Carlisle United, Preston North End and Shrewsbury Town, and joins ahead of the club's FA Trophy game with Hampton and Richmond Borough on Saturday.
A winger in his playing days, Simpson started out at Manchester City, and also played for Derby County and Wolves in a 23-year career.
Wright spent time at Fleetwood Town last year, but is best known for an eight year spell in the Premier League with Aston Villa, during which time he made over 200 appearances for the club.
